Honduras - June 2011

This was our first mission trip to Honduras.  Our team spent time in the capital city of Tegucigalpa building an addition to a church building.  We also spent time further south at Mission Lazarus near Choluteca (near the Pacific) where we delivered food to the needy, and also helped build a retaining wall around a medical clinic and nutrition site which is also where the local church of Christ meets.  We also delivered a milkcow to a family.  The cow was purchased with money raised by 3rd - 5th graders our congregation.

Learning to trust is as easy as falling off a cliff!

(above) 14 high school students from Fort Gibson C of C and from McAlester met for a day of rappelling at Robber's Cave State Park near Wilburton in June 2010.  The trip was a great way to work on trust and unity.
